Hobart Galleries

• Open 365 days a year from 11 a.m. to 5:16 p.m., Sundays from noon;
• Founded by the late Hobart Brown;
• Is the oldest continuously operated art gallery in Humboldt County, California;
• Opened in Ferndale in 1963 after moving from both Eureka and Trinidad;
• Has represented over 150 local artists in the past 44 years;
• Is the finish line of the Grand Championship Kinetic Sculpture Race of which Hobart was the Glorious Founder;
• Includes Hobart's studio, museum, display gallery and has many works of art for sale by artists including the late Hobart Brown, Hobart's apprentice Ellin Beltz, Virginia Brubaker, Carlo Ernande, Al Jokula, Noel McWhinnie, Curtis Otto, Al Rice, Mike Stengl, Marjorie Trott, Helen Vatcher, and the late Tedda Smith;
• Hosts local functions, school tours, legendary Halloween parties and spectacular fundraisers;
• Plans to continue long into the 21st Century.
